Ink to the People

As I reflected on my career eight months ago, I knew I was ready for a change. After spending 13 years in the advertising and marketing industry working with more than 30 of the largest companies and brands around the world, I realized I was pretty burnt out and unfulfilled as a human being.

So with that in mind, I sought out a new professional endeavor, which lead me to Jay and Todd, the founders of Ink to the People. After learning what drove the duo to create their online fundraising platform, I came to the realization that I could utilize all my experience and skillset to tackle this new opportunity. I mean I had gotten millions of people to drink more Coca-Cola, or buy a pair of Nikes’, or play the newest version of Call of Duty, but imagine what I could do with a concept that could actually impact communities, enrich lives and really help people that need it.

To me, the concept was clear. Ink can make a difference with their platform by using marketing for a greater purpose. They could help promote people, who raise funds for causes that they are passionate about. It was exactly the challenge I was looking for. As a result, I accepted the opportunity to work at this unique company. Throughout my time here, I have approached every obstacle understanding the power of our platform and the overall impact Ink can make on so many.

Our team has made great strides this past year, and we have worked tirelessly on redeveloping, redesigning and upgrading our website to give you the best tools and resources to be successful. Our goal is to ultimately become your fundraising partner. A partner that will be there with you, side-by-side and step-by-step, to not only show you how to design a great shirt, but how to develop a successful campaign and even more importantly, how to go about promoting that campaign to maximize awareness and to raise as much money as you can for the causes that mean the most you.

So, as we go into the New Year, our mission will be focused on making our site easier to use and designed to ensure that each of our users are more successful in their fundraising efforts. As part of this work, we are developing sections of our site to be more intuitive and actually walk you through the process. Additionally, we will be launching a Help Center full of helpful tips, ideas and step-by-step instructions on how to improve your designs, describe your campaigns and promote them through multiple media outlets. The rest of the tweaks and changes being made have come from you, our customers, based on your feedback and experiences. We will continue to hold this promise as we move into 2017, so please keep the feedback coming.

As I close this note, I would like to thank all of you who have been part of this journey with us. Because of you, we are eager to head into the new year and continue working alongside amazing individuals passionate about making a long lasting impact. In 2017, know that your Ink to the People team will be striving everyday to share your story, and show how much good can be done in the world by a group of compassionate and focused human beings.

Thank you all, and have a safe and happy New Year,

Eric Addeo
